I wasn’t blown away by the film but pleasantly surprised and enjoyed it. So many great characters, backstories and enigmas. A great intriguing universe has spawned from this Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. I liked how they showed the radicalisation of people that occurred online, something sadly happening a lot these days. The only thing I would say is there was so much going on in this film that certain elements could have their own storylines. Great direction that really set a somber setting. Cat woman, Penguin and Gordon were a great support to this film. It reminded me of some of the darker Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness comics that I loved reading. This Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness seems like a more realistic vigilante for the adults who has his own issues. Pattinson is a great Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and brings this dark, broken and complicated Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to life. I am grateful they didn’t show how he became Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and the death of his parents, almost everyone on the planet knows this origin story. They let go off the playboy billionaire and focused more on life as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. I enjoyed seeing him become as a detective who tried to solve a puzzle. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was a different and dark film. I did not know what to expect with this film. The aesthetic was absolutely on point and Gotham was Gotham as it should be. Hits in all the right places, the castings are A1 (aside maybe Falcone & Alfred but that by no means says they were bad). I think I may have a new favourite Bat film. Can’t wait for the next installment, hopefully set around year 6 (this is year 2)
